Ekiti State Governor and governorship campaigner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Biodun Oyebanji, recorded a decisive triumph astatine the polling portion of the Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, during Saturday’s governorship predetermination successful the state.
Announcing the effect astatine the polling unit, the Presiding Officer, Mrs Elizabeth Oregbemeh, said Oyebanji secured 164 votes to decision his closest challenger, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Dr Wole Oluyede, who polled 8 votes.
She added that the campaigner of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, Mr Ayodeji Ojo, received 1 vote.
Earlier, Senator Bamidele expressed restitution with the behaviour of the election, describing the turnout of voters crossed the authorities arsenic encouraging.
