Establishment of CNG-LNG Conversion Centers by the Government in Nasarawa
Compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) vehicle conversion centers will be built in each of the state’s three senatorial zones, according to Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule.
He made this revelation on Monday during the graduation ceremony and certificate presentation for 50 native auto mechanics who had just completed training in the conversion of CNG-LNG biofuel systems, which took place in the ministry’s conference hall.
The governor claims that rather than giving the trainees who graduate starter packs, his administration plans to construct three conversion centers throughout the state, where the trainees will be able to teach others in addition to showcasing their knowledge and abilities.
He did, however, point out that the three conversion centers would be included in the three tractor repairs and maintenance centers to be established by Mahindra, the largest tractor manufacturer in India, which has expressed interest in building centers in the state’s senatorial zones. This is in keeping with his administration’s policy of prudently managing the state’s resources.
Governor Sule stressed the importance of the training while also emphasizing that gas, CNG, LNG, and electric vehicles, as well as clean energy, are the ways of the future.
He asserted that renewable energy is still Nigerians’ best option given the skyrocketing price of gasoline in the nation.
“With all due respect, Nasarawa State already knew what to do, while other locations and states will be considering their options. You’re already headed in that way,” he remarked.
That’s how you’re supposed to stay ahead. The gas industry has a bright future. For Nigeria and for you. because Nigeria is a nation rich in gas.
Nasarawa State has turned into a gas state, as if that weren’t already enough. Although our state does produce oil, we have discovered gas before we have found oil. That is the concept behind today’s drilling operation in Obi.
The governor urged the trainees who had graduated, chosen from among the 13 local government districts, to view themselves as future educators who would influence others with their expertise.
