The Federal Government of Nigeria has issued a warning to its people about the potential for violence in the UK, in light of the tragic deaths of three young girls during a performance.

According to a statement issued by Amb. Eche Abu-Obe, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja, the violence has reached “dangerous proportions,” as seen by reports of attacks on law enforcement officers and infrastructure damage.

In order to do this, people are urged to exercise extreme caution and to take the following precautions: staying away from political processions, protests, marches, and rallies; staying out of congested locations and big gatherings; and always being watchful and self-aware.

Recall that in recent weeks, there have been numerous, occasionally disorderly protests in various parts of the UK by far-right and other extraparliamentary parties.

The tragic deaths of the three girls have only made the unrest worse, giving rise to a narrative against immigration that targets people of color or Muslims in particular.

In a northern English town, a sizable group of anti-Muslim demonstrators engaged in gunfire with police last Tuesday after an attack on a Taylor Swift-themed event on Monday left three girls fatally stabbed and five other children gravely injured.

The nation has been shocked by the horrifying stabbing event that occurred in Southport, a sleepy coastal town north of Liverpool. The suspect was born in the United Kingdom, according to police, and there was no connection to terrorism.
