FRSC: Delta sector court convicts 31 traffic offenders

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Delta State Sector Command, has secured the condemnation of 31 postulation offenders.

They were convicted by the mobile tribunal attached to the corps during its Eid-el-Fitri Sallah Special Patrol patrol connected Friday, on the Onitsha–Asaba axis of the Benin expressway.

The Mobile Court prosecuted a full of 32 offenders for 89 postulation violations, retired of which 31 were convicted.

Notably, 2 offenders were sentenced to 7 days imprisonment, portion 1 operator was sentenced for Dangerous Driving (DGD), Road Obstruction (ROB), and Obstruction of Marshal connected Duty (OMD).

An offender rider was sentenced for contempt of tribunal aft instigating passengers and disrupting tribunal proceedings.

The offences recorded during the cognition included nonaccomplishment to instal velocity limiting devices, tyre violations, overloading, driver’s licence violations, fig sheet violations, effort to corrupt marshals and spot loop violations.

In a connection by the Sector Public Education Officer, (SPE), Deputy Route Commander Uchenna Nnadika said the FRSC Delta State Sector Command reiterated its committedness to strict enforcement and urged each motorists to comply with postulation rules and regulations to guarantee safer roads for all.
