Erling Haaland, the goalkeeper for Manchester City, is certain that his team will displace Arsenal at the top of the Premier League standings at the end of the current campaign.

The Norwegian’s goal on Saturday gave City a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace away from the Etihad Stadium, giving them three points.

He made a statement and posted it on the Cityzen website.

We just need to concentrate on ourselves with this gap, he remarked.

“We still have a ton of games left to play, and we have them (Arsenal) at home. There is no conclusion yet. This is England, and this is what I have been watching my entire life, therefore I adore it (the title race).

“I savor each and every moment of it. Being in the center of it is beneficial.

The 22-year-old center-forward has been a secret weapon for Pep Guardiola’s team this season, participating in 34 goals and scoring 28 times.

His desire to score goals moves him closer to Alan Shearer’s record of 34 goals in a single English first-division season.

The record was set in the 1994–1995 campaign while Shearer was still a striker for Blackburn.

Naturally, I don’t like to blow opportunities. I missed one in the first half because of a minor item in the grass that caused the ball to bounce higher, the Norwegian added.

“Everyone is aware of how crucial this victory is for us.

“We must continue on. I say this repeatedly, but it’s true.

“I wasn’t worried (when it was 0-0). I simply play my game, as I do in every game. It’s not too horrible, so we must continue. It’s not easy, like I stated, but I’m quite proud of myself.

“We need to play in a variety of ways. Of course, other teams adjust to how City plays since there have been four Premier League. (Titles)

“It is typical. What can I do, we simply need to execute to the best of our abilities,” he said in closing.

He signed from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022 for a fee of €60 million. If Manchester City is found to have committed the 100 transfer infractions alleged against them, Real Madrid is reportedly interested in signing him.
