Head of Service clarifies approval of 40% peculiar allowance to civil servants

The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has made clarification regarding the support of 40 per cent peculiar allowance for national civilian servants.

The Head of Civil Service said it neither approved nor formally conveyed the support of the allowance to the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council, JNPSNC, oregon immoderate labour union. 

It noted that the statutory work for the issuance and connection of specified Circulars rests solely with the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, NSIWC.
