IGP files criminal charge against two for cyberstalking Moniepoint

The Nigeria Police person filed a transgression complaint against 2 suspects, Adebayo Aliu and Fatuntele Lukmon Tunde, earlier a Federal High Court successful Abuja implicit allegations of cyberstalking of a fiscal institution, Moniepoint.

They were billed to beryllium arraigned earlier Justice Ofili Ajumogobia connected a seven-count complaint connected Tuesday, March 17, 2026, but the arraignment could not proceed owed to their absence.

They were not contiguous successful tribunal and were besides not represented by immoderate counsel.

Following their lack and non-representation by counsel, Justice Ajimogobia adjourned the arraignment to April 27.

According to the charge, the defendants conspired to cyberstalk Moniepoint Micro Finance Bank, MFB, by creating a fraudulent level to solicit online tumultuous engagement by promising a sum of N500,000 to unsuspecting victims who would remark with the operation “Moniepoint Scandal” and stock immoderate imaginary scandalous acquisition regarding Moniepoint MFB, for the intent of causing a breakdown of instrumentality and order.
