Due to “right foot pain,” the NBA’s all-time top scorer will not participate in Tuesday’s game against Memphis, according to the Lakers.

The Lakers reportedly believed James would miss several weeks of action after the foot injury he sustained in Sunday’s comeback victory over the Dallas Mavericks, according to numerous US media reports.

James landed awkwardly on his foot in the third quarter but continued to play. After the game, he was later seen leaving the arena with a limp.

Later, James declared that he was determined to finish the game in order to support the suddenly revitalized Lakers’ victory.

After the victory, he declared, “I definitely wasn’t going to go to the locker room and not finish the game out today.”

“We’ll observe (the foot) over the next few days to gauge its comfort before deciding where to next.”

According to a Monday report from ESPN, James was undergoing additional “tests and talks” to ascertain the severity of the ailment.

In addition to averaging 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game for the Lakers this season, James, 38, broke the NBA’s all-time scoring record in early February. James has been in sensational form with the Lakers this season.
