Japan PM Resigns from Party Leadership Position
It was revealed on Wednesday by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida that he will not run for reelection as leader of his party next month, signaling the end of his government.
“My resignation is the most obvious first step in demonstrating that the LDP will change. Kishida said reporters, alluding to the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, “I will not be running in the upcoming (party) presidential election.”
