Jigawa begins disbursement of N661m pension, death benefits to retirees

The Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme Board has commenced the disbursement of implicit N661 cardinal successful terminal and decease benefits to 272 retirees and relatives of deceased civilian servants crossed the state.

Speaking during the disbursement ceremonial held astatine the Pension House successful Dutse, the Head of Service, Muhammad K. Dagaceri, said a full sum of N661,162,525.84 would beryllium paid to retired workers and families of deceased civilian servants nether the contributory pension scheme.

He explained that the outgo covers gratuities, decease benefits and decease pension balances for workers from the authorities civilian service, section authorities councils and section acquisition authorities who either voluntarily retired, attained status property oregon died portion successful progressive service.

According to him, N519,836,677.71 would beryllium paid to 220 retired workers, portion N123,241,273.10 would beryllium disbursed to 37 relatives of civilian servants who died successful progressive service.

Dagaceri added that different N18,078,575.03 would beryllium paid to 15 beneficiaries of retirees who had earlier retired and started receiving monthly pensions but died earlier completing the mandatory minimum play of 5 years aft retirement.
