Kano court adjourns land dispute involving Emir of Rano to July 2026

A Kano State High Court has postponed the proceeding successful a onshore quality lawsuit involving the Emir of Rano and respective different defendants until July 9, 2026.

The lawsuit was filed by Inusa Alasan and 26 different plaintiffs, who are challenging the ownership of 27 parcels of farmland located successful Gafan, Bunkure Local Government Area of Kano State.

The plaintiffs told the tribunal that they inherited the farmland from their parents and person owned it for galore years. They are seeking a tribunal bid to corroborate their ownership of the land.

The defendants see the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Ado Alasan, Alhaji Muhammad Isah of Bunkure LGA, Syno Hydro Trimming Company, and 9 others.

Earlier, connected April 29, Justice Nasiru Saminu granted an interim injunction restraining the defendants from entering, cultivating, selling, leasing, mortgaging, oregon interfering with the disputed onshore until the tribunal determines the matter.
