Klopp cautions that Liverpool’s comeback is far from over.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, stated on Friday that his team is still not “out of the woods” as they attempt to complete a tumultuous season by making the Champions League.

Liverpool’s third straight victory, a 2-1 victory away at West Ham on Wednesday, extended their Premier League winning streak without a loss to five games.

On Sunday, Liverpool will host Tottenham in an effort to maintain their top-four standing. A victory for Klopp’s team would also hurt Tottenham’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

However, Klopp claimed that the group that lost to Real Madrid in the season’s grand final of Europe is still very far from finding its true rhythm.

He stated at a press conference prior to the game that “it is, for me, too early to speak about consistency.”

“Winning three games is good, but it can only be the beginning of something,” the player said.

The German continued, “More important than results is the consistency you demonstrate in performances. For the outside world, it is the outcome, but for us, performances are necessary since that is what we employ in our work.

“As varied as they were, I saw a lot of things we want to see in the games, and that is then incredibly fantastic. I am thrilled with that right now.

“I am completely at peace with the situation, but I don’t think we can say, “That’s it now, we are out of the woods,” because this season taught us a few lessons I didn’t want to learn but did.”

The coach, Jurgen Klopp, said he wanted his team to be “super-aggressive and super-greedy” and demonstrate “that the most important prize in football is the three points at the weekend and that’s all we have to be focused on.”
