The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, sitting successful Gudu, has ordered the remand of 1 Mr Suleiman Danjuma, implicit the alleged defilement of 2 minors.
The suspect was arraigned earlier Justice M.M. Adamu.
The defendant, represented by 2 counsels, pleaded “not guilty” to the 2 counts charged against him by the Commissioner of Police successful complaint of the FCT Command.
Earlier, the prosecuting counsel, Alexander Agbo, told the tribunal that the suspect was connected proceedings for allegedly defiling 2 pistillate minors, aged 8 and 10 years old, respectively.
According to him, the offence is punishable nether conception 1(1) &(2) of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, 2015.
In presumption of the defendant’s plea, Agbo prayed the tribunal for a “Remand Order” pending the proceeding and determination of the case.
Justice Adamu granted the exertion and consequently ordered that the suspect beryllium remanded successful Kuje Correctional installation portion adjourning the lawsuit to September 21 2026 for trial.
