NAICOM workers stage protest, table 25-point demand over promotions, welfare

The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, ASCSN, National Insurance Commission, NAICOM, chapter, connected Monday protested against what it described arsenic unfair labour practices and persistent neglect of unit payment by absorption of the institution.

The workers picketed the NAICOM office successful Abuja during the peaceful protest.

Speaking during the protest, the national chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Mustapha, accused the NAICOM absorption of failing to honour existing agreements and directives from the Minister of Labour, contempt respective rounds of discussions.

He alleged that the refusal to instrumentality agreed payment and administrative reforms had eroded spot betwixt unit and management, insisting that workers would proceed to property for compliance with labour policies and just treatment.

The national presented a wide-ranging 25-point request database covering issues specified arsenic promotion delays, alleged selective implementation of policies, unit transfers, grooming opportunities, and payment packages.

Key demands see the contiguous promotion of eligible staff, just and transparent recruitment and promotion processes, and an extremity to what the national described arsenic “vindictive transfers”.
