Nigerian Govt files 13-count treason charge against alleged coup plotters

The Federal Government has filed a 13-count complaint earlier the Federal High Court successful Abuja against alleged plotters of a coup against President Bola Tinubu.

Among the suspects are a retired Major-General, a retired naval captain, a serving constabulary inspector and 3 others.

Recall that Nigerian information agencies concluded investigations into an alleged coup crippled to violently overthrow President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

There were reportedly 40 suspects identified successful transportation with the alleged conspiracy.

Sixteen subject officers were arrested for nonstop participation, 2 civilians for reconnaissance, 2 for being recruited to incite civilian disobedience to warrant the coup, and 5 others successful transportation with backing channels.
