The Kano State Police Command connected Monday foiled an attempted onslaught connected shops successful the Gyadi-Gyadi country of the state, arresting six suspected thugs aft a convulsive clash involving rival ‘Yan Daba groups.

According to a connection issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Command acted swiftly aft receiving a distress telephone astatine astir 1:20 p.m. that suspected thugs had mobilised for a clash.

“Upon receipt of the report, patrol teams were instantly deployed to the scene. On arrival, officers observed a convulsive clash betwixt suspected ‘Yan Daba groups.”

During the confrontation, the suspects reportedly vandalised an ambulance and attempted to widen the unit to adjacent locations.

The concern escalated erstwhile the hoodlums turned connected the police.

“They aboriginal regrouped and attacked constabulary officers with unsafe weapons and stones. The onslaught was professionally repelled by the operatives,”the connection added.

The suspects past fled towards Farm Centre Market, wherever they allegedly tried to interruption into shops and loot goods.

However, reinforcement teams were rapidly drafted to the scene, preventing further damage.

“The thugs were further dispersed and six suspects were arrested,” Kiyawa said.

According to the statement, normalcy has since been restored successful the affected areas.
