Potter calls Kante’s return “fantastic” for Chelsea’s resurgence.

N’Golo Kante will be included in the Chelsea squad against Everton on Saturday for the first time under new manager Graham Potter.

The hamstring injury that kept Kante out for seven months necessitated surgery.

Prior to Potter’s September appointment as manager in place of Thomas Tuchel, the Frenchman made one final appearance for Chelsea.

While they currently sit in 10th place in the Premier League and were defeated by Manchester City in the first round of both domestic cup competitions, Chelsea have sorely missed the presence of the 31-year-old defensive midfielder.

But despite being matched up against Real Madrid in the quarterfinals, Kante might still be crucial to Chelsea’s effort to win the Champions League.

Potter remarked on Friday that there was a potential that he might make the team.

“Since it’s the first time, it’s great. N’Golo is a top-tier player, and managers before me have praised him highly.

He has been sorely missed by us. N’Golo Kante is N’Golo Kante, which is not to imply that the other players haven’t given their all because they have. A top performer.

We are happy that he is back. We must keep in mind that he has had a lengthy injury, and we will take the necessary action to bring him up to speed in the Premier League.

After a dismal stretch of just two victories in Chelsea’s previous 15 games, three straight triumphs have reduced the strain on Potter’s position.

Yet if the Blues are to re-enter the battle for a top-four finish, they will still require an almost faultless season finale.

“You have to admit that life is better after three victories. Outcomes boost everyone’s confidence and pleasure, and that’s why we’re here—to succeed, Potter continued.

“The outcomes weren’t satisfactory, and we are all accountable for that. Although having luck is vital and useful, it cannot be waited upon.

“You must press forth and weather the storm. Undoubtedly, there was a storm for a while, but we’ve come out of it with three victories, so we now need to keep going.

Mason Mount’s abrupt withdrawal from the England team due to a pubic bone injury was confirmed by Potter.

Due to a hamstring issue, Raheem Sterling will also miss Everton’s visit.
