Rivers West senator, Ipalibo Banigo, has formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Banigo announced her resignation during plenary astatine the Senate connected Tuesday, March 10.

The lawmaker said she intends to align politically with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the medication of President Bola Tinubu.
