Supreme Court voids appeal court judgment on Ekiti SDP guber primary election

The Supreme Court has nullified the Court of Appeal judgment, which invalidated the behaviour of the gubernatorial Primary predetermination of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, for the June 2026 governorship predetermination successful Ekiti State. 

In a unanimous judgement delivered on Friday by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba successful an entreaty marked SC/CV/229/2026, the Apex Court acceptable speech the appellate tribunal decision, which had besides affirmed the enactment operation of Sheu Gabam recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
