Tinubu declares, “I’ll work day and night for a better Nigeria.”

Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’s nominee for president, has pledged to work tirelessly for the country’s improvement.

After receiving his Certificate of Return as Nigeria’s next president on Wednesday, Tinubu made this statement.

At the International Conference Centre in Abuja, the certificate was given to him by Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Yakubu declared Tinubu the victor of the hotly disputed election that took place on Saturday, February 25, in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1.

Atiku Abubakar, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Peter Obi, a member of the Labour Party, finished second and third, respectively.

In his remarks at the certificate ceremony, entitled “To Serve the People,” Tinubu reassured Nigerians, particularly the youth, that he would work tirelessly to better the nation.

He urged Nigerians from all political parties to work together to build the country, acknowledging that it would be impossible to improve the country on its own.

“I will work day and night for you, the people, especially the youth,” declared the president-elect. To the best of my ability, I will endeavor to improve Nigeria.

“This cannot merely be a win for one man or even one party; it must be a victory at all. All Nigerians devoted to a better society must see it as a victory.

“To those who chose not to support me, I implore you not to let your disappointment in this situation prevent you from realizing the historic national progress we can accomplish by banding together in our efforts to save our country.

In a nutshell, I’m asking you to collaborate with me. Despite being the next president, I still need your help. Yet, Nigeria needs you more.

“My door and heart are wide open to you. I invite you in so that we may start rebuilding our country’s house together, day by day and brick by brick.

“Let’s develop prosperity and jobs where there is poverty. where hunger is present. Let’s feed the populace so that hunger won’t exist among them. Let us rediscover abundance where there is currently shortage. May we bring brotherhood where there is harshness. May we establish peace where violence reigns. May we build enduring monuments to kindness and unwavering affection where others have built temples to prejudice and evil.

In the meanwhile, the Economic Community of West African States welcomed the President-elect and urged harmed parties to seek legal remedies in a communique.

“On behalf of His Excellency General Umaru Embaló, Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, and the entire ECOWAS Leadership, we wish to convey our sincere congratulations to His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his election as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the communiqué said.

“His Excellency General Embaló begs to all the interested parties to uphold peace and to pursue any legitimate grievances they may have using constitutional methods.”
