As senate president, I will work best with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. On Wednesday, they met in Abuja to greet Tinubu as he returned from vacation.

But the two of them met behind closed doors.

After the roughly 30-minute conversation, Kalu revealed that his visit’s main goal was to formally welcome and congratulate the President-elect on his smooth return from vacation in Europe.

At the Mass held to commemorate his 63rd birthday, Kalu recalled telling that Tinubu was in good health and would return soon.

Regarding his desire to co-chair the Senate in the upcoming 10th National Assembly with Tinubu, the senator claimed to be the strongest candidate among those vying for the job.

“I assured Nigerians that Tinubu is healthy and that he will return soon, and now, you can see for yourself that he is indeed present.

This proves that, as I stated, our President-elect is qualified and prepared to lead Nigerians. We are prepared to help him for the upcoming mission, and I’ve just come to congratulate and officially welcome him back to the nation.

“Among the contestants, I am the strongest. I can bring Nigeria together, and I am the finest person to work with our incoming president to further Nigeria’s interests. Nigerians must experience the effects of our party. I have the character, morality, and expertise to steer the Senate,” Kalu declared.
