Tinubu’s home’s bullion vehicles had the wrong address

Ayodele Adewale, the APC’s Lagos State Organising Secretary, asserted that the bullion vehicles observed approaching Bola Tinubu’s mansion on the day of the 2019 presidential election “missed their way there.”

In an appearance with Arise TV on Thursday, the APC scribe claimed that the bullion van controversy had long since been resolved.

“I believe that the issue of the bullion van has been resolved, bullion van or no bullion van and everything else. The bullion van was empty of cash. Even the bullion vans that arrived missed their turn to get there.

Adewale continued to defend the occurrence by stating that “certain companies have high staff (member) counts; they pay their personnel in cash; that bullion van missed its way there, and it was not welcomed by Asiwaju or anyone.”

On the day of the 2019 elections, images of two bullion vehicles entering Tinubu’s premises in Lagos went popular on social media.

Adewale’s stance, however, did not align with the 2019 APC standard bearer’s defense. When questioned about the presence of bullion vans at his home in Bourdillon, Ikoyi, Tinubu had responded by saying he could keep his money wherever he chose.

This was expressed by Tinubu when he answered questions from reporters shortly after casting his ballot in 2019.

“Excuse me, is this government or my money?” he asked. I’m not employed by the government. I am not employed by a government agency, so please don’t say that I have received contracts from the APC or the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari during the past five years. They must offer evidence.

“I work alone and am dedicated to my party. So what’s your problem, even if I have money to spend on my property? If I don’t represent any government organization and I have money to spare, I can offer it to the public for free so long as it isn’t used to buy votes.

Who is watching after my home or the bullion vans? They submit inaccurate information, so they must be troublemakers. They are lazy and dishonest.
