The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has dismissed claims that it has accrued its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry registration fees.
JAMB made this clarification successful a connection by its spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, connected Friday.
According to JAMB, its registration fees remained unchanged astatine N7,200 (without mock examinations), N8,700 (with mock exams), and N5,700 for DE, respectively.
The Board insisted that claims of registration fees hike are false, misleading, and wholly unfounded.
“These fees person remained unchanged since 2019. It is pertinent to callback that successful 2018, the Federal Executive Council approved a simplification successful the UTME exertion interest from N5,000 to N3,500, with effect from the 2019 registration exercise.
“Since the government-approved reduction, the Board has maintained the aforesaid interest operation without immoderate increase, contempt rising operational costs,” the connection reads.
