Wave of defections hits National Assembly as 12 lawmakers join new parties

A question of defections swept done the House of Representatives connected Thursday arsenic the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, announced that 12 lawmakers had officially switched governmental parties.

During plenary, Kalu disclosed that six members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

He besides announced that six different lawmakers from the Young Progressives Party, YPP, and the Labour Party, LP, had defected to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
