The World Bank has named Nigeria’s ports among the apical 20 improved ports globally.
Word Bank disclosed this successful its 2025 Container Port Performance Index, released June 2026.
According to the data, Nigeria’s ports, Tincan Island and Apapa, maintained fig 10 and 12, respectively, connected the World Bank’s CPP1 for 2025.
Commenting connected the report, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Abubakar Dantsoho, attributed the improvement to improved concern successful larboard infrastructure by President Bola Tinubu’s government.
“With the investor-friendliness of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu providing the gravitas needed for accrued concern to instrumentality our larboard infrastructure and instrumentality modernization thrust coupled with the unflinching enactment from the Honorable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola,” helium said.
