Zamfara Assembly extends suspension of seven lawmakers

The Zamfara State House of Assembly has approved the hold of the suspension of 7 lawmakers for different legislative league implicit alleged misconduct and usurpation of House rules.

The determination was reached during plenary nether the enactment of the Speaker, Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki.

According to a connection issued by the spokesperson of the Speaker’s office, Bello Madaro Kurya, the affected lawmakers are inactive being investigated implicit alleged misconduct and violations of the House Standing Orders.

The question for the hold was moved by the Majority Leader, Bello Muhammad Mazawajje, and seconded by Ibrahim Garba Liman.

Explaining the crushed for the extension, Mazawajje said the substance is inactive earlier the court.

He said, “While the archetypal suspension play had lapsed, the ongoing litigation regarding the substance necessitates a ceremonial hold of the disciplinary enactment pending judicial determination.”
