The National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education, NCAOOSCE, has clarified that the roadworthy and different infrastructure projects contained successful its 2026 Appropriation Act are constituency projects assigned to the bureau for implementation by the National Assembly.
The clarification comes amid nationalist scrutiny of the 2026 fund pursuing revelations that respective national agencies were allocated projects considered extracurricular their statutory mandates, including roadworthy projects reportedly inserted into the budgets of education-related agencies.
In a connection issued on Monday by its spokesperson Nura Muhammad, the Commission said that “the task was not its halfway mandate but inserted into the national fund by the National Assembly and assigned to the Commission for implementation”.
