Olsson, a Swedish midfielder, leaves a rehab facility following a brain illness

Kristoffer Olsson, a Swedish international midfielder, has returned home from his rehab facility. He made the announcement on social media. In February, he was hospitalized due to a severe brain ailment that left him without the ability to move or speak.

The Danish Superliga player, 29, who plays midfield for FC Midtjylland, was put on a ventilator after he passed out at home on February 20. He was admitted to Aarhus University Hospital.

Tests revealed that he had experienced multiple tiny blood clots as a result of an uncommon brain blood vessel inflammation.

In mid-March, he was moved to a rehabilitation facility in order to aid in his motor and language skills recovery.

In his Instagram picture, he wrote, “I’m back home, six months later.”

The Swede stated he intended to play professionally again after regaining his speech and motor skills in mid-April and being fit enough to give his teammates the SuperLiga trophy in late May.

He hasn’t, however, provided a return date, nor has his club.

Olsson, who was born in Norrkoping on the east coast of Sweden, made his competitive debut for Arsenal in 2013. He has since played for AIK and Midtjylland in Sweden, as well as Krasnodar and Anderlecht. Last summer, after a loan period, Olsson returned to Midtjylland permanently.
