As he welcomed the beginning of Lent, devout Catholic actor Mark Wahlberg said that while the catholic faith is “not fashionable” in Hollywood, he cannot hide his religion since doing so would be “an even larger sin.”

The 51-year-old actor who played Ted said that he has always spoken his faith but added that he “doesn’t want to jam it down anyone’s throat.”

On Ash Wednesday, a holy day of prayer and fasting, Christians receive repentance ash in the shape of the cross, which is why he appeared on the show wearing a black cross on his forehead.

As Wahlberg admitted on the Today Show, “I have always talked about my beliefs.” “That is a balance.” I don’t want to force anything down anyone’s throat, but I am a believer.

That is a greater sin. Although it’s not common in my profession, I can’t deny my beliefs. It’s crucial that I let folks know that.

When asked what his faith means to him, Mark Wahlberg replied, “It’s everything; it’s given me so much.”

God came to save sinners, not saints, according to the saying. Focusing on my faith has enabled me to become a better version of myself. We all have problems in life and strive to be better versions of ourselves.

Michael Wahlberg, a member of Wahlberg’s Catholic family, attended his confirmation in July of last year. At the moment, Michael was dressed in a white button-down shirt, a gray tie, and a pair of gray pants.

One of the seven Catholic sacraments is confirmation. Catholics participate in a ritual when they renew their commitment to the faith they first adopted after being baptized.
