The Adamawa State House of Assembly has passed a measure to supply gratuity and decease benefits for emirs and chiefs.
The transition of the bill, which seeks to amend the Adamawa State Chiefs (Appointment and Deposition) (Amendment) Law, 2024, followed the information and adoption of a report.
The study connected the amended measure was earlier presented by the House Standing Committee connected Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, headed by Kefas Calvin of Toungo Constituency.
During the transition of the measure at Monday’s sitting of the Assembly, Calvin appreciated Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for sponsoring the bill.
Following contributions from immoderate members during the day’s plenary, the Majority Leader of the Assembly, Kate Raymond Mamuno of Demsa Constituency, moved for the transition of the bill. The question was seconded by Musa Mahmud Kallamu of Mayo Belwa Constituency.
