ADC: Court adjourns suit against Mark, Aregbesola

The Federal High Court successful Abuja connected Monday adjourned a suit filed by Mr Nafiu-Bala Gombe seeking to halt the David Mark-led enactment of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, from parading themselves arsenic leaders of the enactment until September 28.

The case, which was fixed for proceeding of each pending applications, could not proceed due to the fact that the presiding judge, Justice Peter Lifu, did not sit.

The lawsuit was subsequently fixed for September 28.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that Justice Lifu had, connected June 16, fixed the lawsuit for proceeding of each the pending applications aft helium dismissed the exertion seeking his recusal from the case.

The judge, who held that the 2 motions filed by ADC and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola (1st and 3rd defendants) lacked merit, awarded a good of N1 cardinal each against ADC and Aregbesola, the embattled National Secretary of the party, successful favour of Gombe.

ADC and Aregbesola had, successful abstracted motions, asked Justice Lifu to retreat from the suit filed by Gombe, an aggrieved enactment member, citing alleged bias.
