Bandits kidnapped my brothers, demanded N300m ransom – Zamfara gov, Lawal

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has disclosed that bandits abducted his brothers and demanded N300 cardinal arsenic ransom.

Lawal, however, said helium refused to wage the ransom truthful arsenic not to promote their activities.

Speaking successful Abuja on Thursday, Lawal reiterated that helium volition not negociate with bandits.

The politician said helium is acceptable to money authorities constabulary to combat criminals.

He said: “My ain brothers were kidnapped successful 2019, and these criminals are demanding ₦300 million.

“I told them, ‘Look, I’m not going to wage a dime, if you like, spell up and termination them’.

“Because if we proceed paying ransoms to these people, we are encouraging them to kidnap much people.”
