Benue gets federal approval for four snakebite treatment centres

Benue State Government has secured national support for 4 wellness facilities to run arsenic snakebite attraction centres crossed the state's 3 senatorial districts.

The support by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is expected to amended entree to life-saving attraction and fortify the state's escaped snakebite attraction programme.

The designated facilities are General Hospital, Katsina-Ala, successful Zone A; Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, and General Hospital, Gboko, successful Zone B; and General Hospital, Otukpo, successful Zone C.

The Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Paul Ogwuche, commended Governor Hyacinth Alia for his committedness to improving healthcare services and making indispensable aesculapian attraction much accessible to farmers and agrarian residents.

Ogwuche besides expressed appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate, for their enactment and concern with the state.
