The lawsuit was filed by PDP governorship aspirant Khamisu Mailantarki and is being heard by Justice Amina-Aliyu Mohammed.

After proceeding arguments from lawyers representing some sides, the justice said the tribunal would denote a day for the judgement later.

Speaking to journalists aft the hearing, Mailantarki’s lawyer, Mustapha Ibrahim (SAN), said his lawsuit is challenging the legality of the primary, claiming the process was flawed due to the fact that “a idiosyncratic who was not qualified to enactment was allowed to contest.”

He said some the substantive suit and the defendants’ preliminary objections had been argued and were present awaiting judgment.

Ibrahim besides dismissed concerns implicit the withdrawal of the 2nd plaintiff, saying the lawsuit remains valid due to the fact that Mailantarki is inactive pursuing the suit.
