Customs seizes tramadol, rice, fuel, vehicles worth N604.3m in Kwara

The Kwara Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has seized smuggled goods worthy N604.3 million, including Tramadol, overseas rice, Premium Motor Spirit, overseas spaghetti, utilized covering and 2 luxury vehicles.

The acting Area Controller of the Command, Deputy Comptroller Najeem Akanmu Ogundeyi, announced the seizures during a property briefing successful Ilorin connected Thursday.

Ogundeyi said the items were intercepted on antithetic operational routes successful Kwara State done intelligence-led operations, regular patrols and collaboration with different information agencies.

“Among the seized items were 3,396 packets of 100mg Tramadol valued astatine N50.95 million, 270 bags of overseas parboiled atom worthy N25.25 million, 6,875 litres of PMS valued astatine N2.75 million, and 6,705 cartons of overseas spaghetti worthy N201.15 million,” helium said.

“The bid besides intercepted 80 bales and six sacks of utilized covering valued astatine N32.3 million, 14 bags of Basmati atom worthy N350,000, a 2025 Toyota Highlander valued astatine N214 million, and a 2018 Dodge Charger SXT worthy N77.59 million,” helium added.
