Delta Assembly declares lawamker’s seat vacant for defecting from APC to NDC

The Delta State House of Assembly has declared vacant the spot of the subordinate representing Udu State Constituency, Hon. Collins Egbetamah, pursuing his resignation from the All Progressives Congress, APC, and defection to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.

The House declared the spot vacant successful enactment with Section 109(1)(g) and (2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

The declaration followed the adoption of a question by the Leader of the House, Hon. Emeka Nwaobi, seconded by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, and unanimously approved astatine plenary presided implicit by the Speaker, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor.

The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to pass the solution to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
