DisCos rake in N203.6bn from electricity consumers in April — NERC

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, has said the energy organisation companies (DisCos) generated N203.61 cardinal from consumers successful April 2026.

According to NERC’s Commercial Performance Factsheet, the 11 DisCos collected N203.61 cardinal retired of N252.43 cardinal billed to customers during the month, representing a postulation ratio of 80.66 per cent, up by 1.07 percent points from March.

The committee said “the DisCos received energy worthy N302.96 cardinal and billed customers N252.43 billion, portion billing ratio stood astatine 83.32 per cent, a flimsy diminution of 0.57 percent points from the erstwhile month”.

NERC added that the industry’s gross betterment ratio was 82.11 per cent, with an mean existent postulation of N102.13 per kilowatt-hour against the approved mean tariff of N124.39/kWh.

Among the organisation companies, Eko DisCo recorded the highest gross betterment ratio astatine 102.09 per cent, followed by Abuja DisCo with 89.77 per cent and Ikeja DisCo with 88.89 per cent.
