The Ebonyi State Police Command has reaffirmed the directives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), charging officers and men to uphold professionalism, discipline, accountability, and respect for the cardinal rights of citizens.
The Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State Command, CP Hope Urunwa-Okafor, gave the complaint at the weekend during a strategical gathering with Heads of Departments, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and different elder officers pursuing the Inspector-General’s gathering with the Strategic Management Team of the Nigeria Police Force.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu, the gathering focused connected communicating the IGP’s operational directives and reinforcing ethical policing crossed the command.
Addressing the officers, the Commissioner warned against each forms of nonrecreational misconduct, including incivility towards members of the public, extortion, harassment, maltreatment of office, and different unethical practices, stressing that specified actions would not beryllium tolerated.
