Persons With Disabilities, PWDs, successful Ebonyi State person protested alleged neglect by the authorities government, demanding monthly subventions, payment enactment and contiguous assent to the Disability Bill already passed by the State House of Assembly.
The protesters, who staged a peaceful objection successful Abakaliki, besides kicked against a abrogation bid issued by the Commissioners for Health, Dr. Moses Ekuma, and Women Affairs and Social Development, Barrister Felicia Nwamkpuma, directing them to vacate their bureau without alternate accommodation.
Carrying placards with assorted inscriptions, the protesters appealed to Governor Francis Nwifuru to intervene, stressing that disablement is not a transgression and calling for their inclusion successful authorities programmes and appointments.
The State Chairman of Persons With Disabilities, Comrade Nwovu Friday, said the radical had suffered neglect contempt respective appeals to the government.
