Edo Govt calls seven witnesses in trial of suspected kidnappers

Edo State Government has closed its lawsuit successful the proceedings of 4 suspected kidnappers that abducted a pistillate astatine the rootlike marketplace on Airport Road, Benin City.

DAILY POST reports that the  Commissioner for Justice and Attorney- General of the State, Prof Roland Otaru closed the lawsuit on Tuesday after calling 7 witnesses astatine a peculiar tribunal acceptable up by Governor Monday Okpebholo to effort kidnapping and cult related cases.

The 4 suspects – Marvellous Isaac, 32, Wisdom Michael, 36, Rufus Emete Michael, 30, and Gift Raphael, 27 – are being prosecuted by the Edo State Government and the police.

The suspects are facing 10-count complaint bordering connected alleged kidnapping, equipped robbery, cultism and unlawful possession of firearms.

Otaru who led different prosecution counsel, said 5 witnesses appeared past week Friday while 2 appeared on Tuesday.

The  five witnesses that appeared past week were victims of the suspects portion the different witnesses are Investigative Police Officers, IPOs.

One of the IPOs from the Force Intelligence Department/Intelligence Response Team, Zone 5 Annex tendered video documents wherever the suspects were interrogated and their written statements taken.
