EFCC arraigns Kano man over alleged N34.8m spaghetti deal 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken Halifa Abdulmajid earlier the Kano State High Court implicit allegations that helium received N34.875 cardinal for a spaghetti proviso woody but failed to present the goods.

The suspect appeared earlier Justice Musa Karaye connected a one-count complaint of transgression misappropriation involving wealth allegedly belonging to Fahad Adaji.

The complaint expanse stated that the alleged offence took spot successful Kano betwixt September and October 2024.

According to the prosecution, the wealth was transferred to a First Bank relationship held by Muazu Abdullahi pursuing Abdulmajid’s instructions. The funds were reportedly meant to facilitate the acquisition of IRS Spaghetti from BUA.

The committee accused Abdulmajid of dishonestly misappropriating the money, an offence punishable nether Sections 308 and 309 of the Kano State Penal Code Law.

Upon the speechmaking of the charge, the suspect denied the allegation by entering a plea of not guilty.

Prosecution counsel, Mustapha Maiwada, subsequently asked the tribunal to hole a day for proceedings and bid the defendant’s remand successful a custodial facility.
