Former Plateau Assembly Speaker Azi is dead

A erstwhile Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Peter Azi, is dead.

This was disclosed by a household subordinate of the deceased, John Azi, on Friday while speaking with journalists successful Jos.

He said the erstwhile Speaker died connected Thursday, August 13, 2026 without revealing the origin of his death.

“With full submission to the volition of God Almighty, the Azi Ajang household announces the passing unto glory of their son, member and father, Mr Peter Azi, the erstwhile Speaker of Plateau House of Assembly He peacefully joined his creator today, August 13,” the household subordinate said.
