Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has debunked reports of receiving wealth from President Bola Tinubu for airdrome upgrade.

Makinde made this rebuttal connected Tuesday during a North West municipality hallway gathering successful Katsina.

The politician was replying to the claims by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, that the Federal Government gave the authorities N50 cardinal for the reconstruction of the Ibadan airport.

Wike had stated connected Monday connected Journalist Hangout, an interrogation programme connected TVC, that the motion was to compensate Makinde for supporting the president during the 2023 statesmanlike election.

In response, Makinde said the assertion is false, adding that the airdrome upgrade is being afloat funded by the Oyo State Government
