Imo LG polls: ISIEC fixes November 7 as new date 

The Imo State Independent Electoral Commission, ,ISIEC has fixed Saturday, November 7, 2026, arsenic the caller day for the behaviour of section authorities assembly elections successful the state.

The committee made the disclosure successful a property connection personally signed by its chairman, Chief Charles Ejiogu.

According to ISIEC, the caller day followed the earlier postponement of the elections, which were scheduled for September 26, and a bid of consultations with the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Imo State chapter.

The committee said an expanded stakeholders’ gathering would beryllium announced soon, during which the amended predetermination timetable and electoral guidelines arising from the postponement would beryllium released.

ISIEC apologised to governmental parties, chairmanship and councillorship aspirants, stakeholders and the wide nationalist for the inconvenience caused by the postponement.
