Industrial court restrains Nasarawa JUSUN from proceeding with strike

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria, NICN, sitting successful Abuja, has issued an interim bid restraining members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, successful Nasarawa State from embarking connected their planned concern action.

The bid was granted on Tuesday following an ex-parte exertion filed by the Nasarawa State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Isaac Danladi.

The exertion followed a seven-day ultimatum issued by JUSUN to the authorities government, informing that judicial activities would beryllium unopen down if the union’s demands were not addressed.

The tribunal directed that the restraining bid would stay successful unit pending the proceeding and determination of the question connected notice.

Among the demands by JUSUN are the implementation of the 40 per cent Peculiar Allowance approved by the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, NSIWC, afloat fiscal autonomy for the authorities judiciary and a 58.1 per cent wage increase.

The national is besides seeking the implementation of outstanding unit conversions and promotions.
