Insecurity: NYSC reacts as abducted corps members regains freedom after days in captivity

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has reacted to the rescue of the sixteen Corps members abducted successful Kogi State connected 26 August 2026.

The corps members were kidnapped portion travelling from the Bayelsa State NYSC campy to Abuja aft a palmy Orientation Course.

The NYSC commended the Nigerian Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, DSS, Kogi State Vigilante groups, and others who contributed to the hunt and rescue efforts.

In a connection signed by the Director, Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the Scheme said the professionalism, courage, commitment, and coordination demonstrated successful rescuing the Corps members are profoundly appreciated.

The Scheme said it acknowledges the unwavering enactment and committedness of President Tinubu to the information and payment of Corps members nationwide.

“The information agencies were so animated by His Excellency’s interest and committedness to urgently and successfully rescuing the Corps members,” it said.
