Kogi Abduction: Gunmen demand N20m ransom per NYSC member

Gunmen who abducted members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, person reportedly demanded N20 cardinal ransom for each of the victims inactive successful captivity.

The corps members were among 15 NYSC members travelling from Bayelsa State to Abuja aft completing their three-week predisposition workout erstwhile they were abducted on the Aloma-Egane Expressway successful Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

A household subordinate of 1 of the victims disclosed that the kidnappers had contacted relatives and communicated their ransom demand.

“One of our daughters was kidnapped connected her mode from Bayelsa State to Abuja aft completing the three-week predisposition camp. The kidnappers are requesting N20 million,” the root said.

The improvement comes days aft the Kogi State Police Command spokesperson ASP Salisu Oyiza Afusat, confirmed the abduction of passengers, including NYSC members, on the route.
