Lagos State Government has announced the impermanent closure of Freedom Park connected Lagos Island from Monday, October 5, to Sunday, October 11, 2026, to let for scheduled maintenance, clean-up, fumigation and upgrade works.
The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture said the impermanent closure was indispensable to facilitate the planned works aimed astatine improving visitors’ acquisition and preserving the historical facility.
A connection signed by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila, said Freedom Park would beryllium reopened to the nationalist instantly aft the renovation exercise.
