Owodunni Eletu, better known as Sam Larry, Owodunni Ibrahim, better known as Primeboy, and Abdulazeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, have been summoned by the Lagos Coroner investigating the death of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The musicians were called before the court at the upcoming session on October 25 by the coroner, magistrate Adedayo Shotobi.
The coroner has also heard testimony from two police officials regarding the police findings on the case: Muhammad Yusuf, who is affiliated to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, and Oderinde-Gafar Ajibola, the investigating police officer.
They stated to the coroner in their testimony that there was no proof that Mohbad had been abused by Sam Larry and Naira Marley. They added that there is no connection between the two artists and Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the nurse who gave Mohbad the shot.
It was also disclosed to the coroner that an autopsy is still pending in order to ascertain Mohbad’s exact cause of death.
The coroner then gave the cops instructions to make sure the musicians it had called were present in court on the following postponed date.
