NANS Convention: Osun Poly student dies after stabbing in Osogbo

A pupil of the Osun State Polytechnic, Ademiju Ayeni, has died aft helium was allegedly stabbed during the normal of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Joint Campus Committee, Osun State Chapter, successful Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The incidental occurred on Saturday during the students’ normal held astatine the Osun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Press Centre successful Osogbo.

The Osun State Police Command confirmed the death, saying the deceased sustained a stab coiled to his thorax pursuing a disagreement during the programme.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, said the disagreement involving Ayeni and immoderate individuals had initially been resolved earlier the normal participants dispersed.

According to Ojelabi, “There was a small disagreement during the convention, and it was settled. After they dispersed, the deceased complained of thorax pain, and erstwhile it was checked, helium had a stab coiled connected his chest.”
